Pricing

The price is shown against each product in the online catalogue. That price is valid for orders placed at the time. An additional charge for post and packing will be added.

Ordering

There is no minimum order. Users are asked to follow the directions on the website to complete their orders and to check the accuracy of item/s and costs before final submission.

Payment

Payment made by PayPal: In order to enter your credit/debit card details, this website will establish a secure link between your browser and the PayPal secure server. Your card details are held by PayPal and HRFHS will never see them. You should not attempt to send your card details by any method other than that provided. If you do so, we will not be liable for any loss. If you consider your credit/debit card number has been fraudulently used you should contact the issuing bank.

Dispatch

HRFHS is managed by volunteers who will normally arrange for goods to be dispatched within 10 working days of receiving your order. If for any reason an item is unavailable, you will be notified and offered the choice of an alternative item or a refund. Goods will be dispatched by Royal Mail/Parcelforce and all items sent overseas will be sent by air mail. Within the UK, 2nd Class post will be used for deliveries up to 2kg and orders over 2kg may be by Parcelforce Standard rate.

Quality and Returns

Our aim is that all customers will be completely satisfied with the quality of goods and services provided. If, however, you are not satisfied with the quality of an item, please contact us with the details and we shall endeavour to resolve the matter.

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014

In law, you have a separate right of cancellation of your order during a “cooling off” period, should you change your mind. You have 14 days’ from receipt of the goods to let us know you wish to cancel the order. This 14 days includes week-ends and bank holidays. Notice of intention to cancel must be in writing and should be received by HRFHS within the 14 day period. This may be by letter or email but a telephone call does not qualify.

On receipt of notice of an intention to cancel within the cooling off period, HRFHS will refund the sale price of the goods on condition that they are returned in a re-saleable condition. The cost of returning the goods must be paid by the customer. The payment of a refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods.

Refunds

When we refund a PayPal payment, the amount will be credited to the credit/debit card account used at the time of purchase. If you have paid by cheque, HRFHS will refund by cheque posted to the address you provide. No refunds will be made in respect of CD-ROMs or DVDs where the customer has removed the seal or wrapper.

Local taxes and duties

You are responsible for payment of any local taxes and import duties levied in the country of ther delivery address.

Non-delivery

If you have not received your order within the appropriate time, please contact us quoting the details provided at the time of ordering.

Complaints

Our aim is that you will be completely satisfied with our service and the goods you have purchased. In the unlikely event that you have cause for complaint, please contact us.

Applicable law

These terms and conditions, your order and payment and the delivery of goods, form the basis of a contract under the laws of England and Wales between you, the customer, and Hastings and Rother Family History Society. Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.
